Platinum celebrates its 18th anniversary by unveiling its first branding campaign, ‘Platinum PROUD’, to encourage everyone to be proud of themselves while launching a new business to build on success

Ms.Suthita Chotjurangkool, Executive Vice President – Marketing of The Platinum Group, said that the 18th anniversary of Platinum Fashion Mall marks an important milestone and fills us with great pride and joy. Throughout its operation, Platinum is proud to play a part in promoting the development of Thailand’s wholesale and retail industry as well as tourism while creating job opportunities and generating income for Thai entrepreneurs. We have been in business for 18 years and will continue to strive to create endless pride while reinforcing our status as “The Best Wholesale Fashion Hub of ASEAN”.

On this special occasion, the company has launched the branding campaign “Platinum PROUD” through VDO Viral. This can be considered the company’s first branding campaign to communicate the long-lasting bond with its business partners and customers under the brand positioning of “bringing fresh fashion to you” that wishes everyone to have fun and reveal their individuality with every style of fashion at Platinum. Meanwhile, we are ready to support and encourage everyone to strive for success while taking pride in being themselves. This VDO will be released on social media on December 18, 2023. In addition, there will be many marketing activities to create a good experience with the brand throughout 2024.

In terms of business progress, Platinum Fashion Mall is in a continuously improving direction. There are both Thai and foreign customers visiting the shopping mall with an average of 55,000 people/day, an increase of more than 65% compared to 2022. The proportion of customers is 30% Thai and 70% foreigners (including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, and Arab countries). The current average occupancy rate is 90%.

Throughout the past period, the company has continuously improved various zones within the shopping mall. The part that has recently opened is a food destination with a total area of 5,700 sq.m. in Zone 1 and 2 on the 6th floor under the name of “Platinum food floor MORE a MEAL” which features a variety of more than 100 delicious food shops. For the zone of food court, food payment cards have been developed into a smart card system. What’s more, there is also QR Code PromptPay system to provide customers with greater convenience.

In addition, Zone 3: Beauty & Souvenir has been opened to sell products in both retail and wholesale formats on a total area of 6,000 sq.m. by adjusting shops on the 1st and 2nd floors to offer products and services related to cosmetics as well as beauty, health and spa equipment such as Eveandboy, Mistine, Oriental Princes, JOJI, Ruenrom, Phutawan, etc. The 3rd floor offers packaged food products such as Chainarong, Fruit Paradise and YUMMY. Meanwhile, the 4th floor features unique Thai souvenirs such as Metal Art, Thai Boxing and Handmade Story.

At the same time, we have revealed the newest concept on the 5th floor which is being transformed into a center of various Thai-style restaurants and cafes to meet the lifestyle of today’s customers and to cater to foreign tourists who like to shop, chill, taste, share experiences of happiness. This area is planned to open in the second quarter of 2024. When all service areas of the shopping mall are ready to open, it is expected that traffic will increase by more than 20 %.

As far as activities to support store owners are concerned, the company continues to carry out ‘Platinum Empowering’, a project that focuses on developing the efficiency of store owners for continuous and sustainable growth. The plan for 2024 will focus on expanding trade channels for stores, both B2B and B2C, along with joining forces with the public and private sectors to promote the soft power of Thai fashion design to move forward to the international level.

In terms of the progress of other businesses in the group, the office building “Pier 111” located on the mixed-use project of The Market Bangkok Ratchaprasong boasts a total area of 38,000 sq.m. with a height of 32 floors. Built under the concept of “Countless Opportunities – Limitless Connectivity”, it is a project that takes into account the well-being of users and the surrounding society in order to meet the needs of modern people who are health-conscious with an internal air purification system. It is also a smart office building that uses technology to manage various systems, such as an access control system with automatic contactless registration machines for convenience and safety with modern technology that is easy to use and outstanding in design. Each floor has a height of 3.25 meters from floor to ceiling, which is the highest in an office building in the Ratchadamri area. There is ample parking space for more than 1,400 cars. The project is easily accessible by BTS Chit Lom and Siam stations or Pratunam Pier and connects three main roads – Ratchadamri, Phetchaburi and Chit Lom. Pier 111 is now available for viewing and booking.

In addition, we also have a new hotel business, namely Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong, featuring 504 rooms under the management of Marriott Hotels Group. This project is the first Moxy hotel brand in Thailand and the largest one in Asia Pacific. The hotel focuses on travelers of all genders and ages who look for value for money, fun experience and unique style. On this occasion, we would like to invite everyone to come and get to know Moxy brand during the festival of happiness in December 2023 at the activity area on the M floor in front of The Market Bangkok before officially opening to all guests within the first quarter of 2024. Both Pier111 and Moxy Hotel will complement and increase the competitiveness of The Market Bangkok, the group’s another shopping center located in the heart of the city.
